Layers Settings
Turn off Layers for non-selected Items
This option will turn of any layers which are not used by the currently selected Points/Strings/Text etc.
Turn On Layers for Selected Items
This button will tun on all layers use by Selected items (Points, Strings, text).
Sort by Layer
Tick this box to Sort the list by Layer name instead of GroupName/LayerName
Select Objects on Visible Layers Only
Tick this box to all all the Select options (point,Strings,Text) to only select items which are visible.
If this box is unticked, you can select items which are invisible (on invisible layers).
This can be dangerous if you are deleting
or editing items as you may delete or edit items you cannot see.
The following options allow you to save the current job layers to a Layers Data Set.
You must give the Layers Data Set a name, for future retrieval.
Thus you can save the state of the layers at different stages of the job and easily'switch back to those settings by retrieving the settings.
Create Layers Data Set
Enter a name, and a copy of all the current layers will be made and tagged with that name.
Update Layers Data Set
Select a saved layer set by name from the list.
This option will copy the current job layer settings to the selected Layers data Set.
- All existing data for data set will be deleted
- All current job layer settings will be copied to the saved data set using the name.
Restore Layers Data Set to Job
Select a saved layer set by name from the list.
This option will copy the layer settings from the saved layers to the current layers.
- Layers are matched by the layer name
- If the saved layer name matches a current job layer the start/settings/attributes are copied frrom the saved layer to the current job layer
- If a layer in the job does not exist in the Saved layers List, no change is made to the job layer
- If a layer exists in the saved set and not in the job, no change is made to the job layers
Delete Layers Data Set
Select a saved layer set by name from the list.
This option will delete those entries from the saved list.
Reset Column Positions & Widths
This button resets the Layers dialog list of layers to default columns, column positions and widths
If all the columns get scrambled and or disappear, use this option to restore them.
